Local Government Waste Transfer Stations

Morley’s Earthmoving was the key civil contractor for Dubbo Regional Council on the reclamation of landfill tips closed or converted to waste transfer stations over the last 2 years. Sites included Stuart Town, Euchareena, Mumbil, Elong Elong, Geurie and Whylandra.

The reclamation work required restoring the sites back to native environment with EPA approvals. This required civil soil works to confine leachate and constructing sediment and leachate drains and ponds to prevent contamination to natural water ways, top soiling and replanting of natural grasses to the sites.
